Get the right result
Choose a clear image framed closely around your signature for an easy-to-read result. The preset fits it within 1200 × 400 pixels without cropping, then adjusts quality and size to meet the 50 KB limit.
How it works
- Choose a clear photo of your signature, framed closely.
- Select Prepare to create a JPG under 50 KB with a white background.
- Check in the preview that the strokes are clear.
- Download the JPG and upload it to your form.
When a 50 KB signature file is enough
Some forms accept a signature image up to 50 KB, which gives smooth strokes more room than a 20 KB limit. Use this page when your notice or form states 50 KB. The tool creates a JPG below 50,000 bytes, adjusting quality and, when needed, the size of the image so the signature stays readable.
If the form sets 20 KB instead, use the 20 KB signature page. A file well under the limit will also pass, but a stricter target usually means more compression. Check the notification for the required pixel size, since this tool does not set it.
Keeping a signature clean at 50 KB
Frame the signature tightly, with a small margin of paper around the ink. Dark ink on white paper gives the best contrast after compression. If your photo has shadows or fingers in it, retake it, because those areas use up bytes without helping the signature.
Check thin parts and any initials in the preview. The tool keeps the full image and its proportions, so the signature will not be cut off, but very thin strokes may look lighter after resizing.
Pale ink, such as light pencil, will not show well even with the right file size, so sign with a firm stroke.
Prepare a signature 50 KB JPG on any device
The page works on a phone or a computer. If you signed on paper, take the photo in good light and open the page to prepare it. The image is processed on your device, is never uploaded to a server and is not stored.
KB here means 1,000 bytes, so 50 KB is 50,000 bytes. The output is a JPG with a white background, and the download has no watermark.
Label the saved JPG with the form name before you upload, so it is easy to find on the day.
Frequently asked questions
How do I prepare my signature under 50 KB?
Choose a closely framed signature image and select Prepare. Download the JPG with the 50 KB target already applied.
Will my whole signature stay visible?
Yes. The tool keeps the complete image and its proportions, fitting the signature within the preset canvas without cropping the edges.
What background does the signature use?
The result is a JPG with a white background. Transparent areas become white.
Is my signature uploaded when I resize it?
No. The image is processed on your device, is never uploaded to a server and is not stored.
What if my form asks for 20 KB?
Use the 20 KB signature page, which applies a stricter limit to the same kind of image.
Is this signature resizer free to use?
Yes. The tool is free and needs no sign-up. Select Prepare, then download the JPG once the preview looks right.
How many bytes is 50 KB?
KB here means 1,000 bytes, so 50 KB is 50,000 bytes. The tool creates a JPG below that limit.
