Get the right result
Choose a clear image framed closely around your signature for an easy-to-read result. The preset fits it within 1200 × 400 pixels without cropping, then adjusts quality and size to meet the 20 KB limit.
How it works
- Choose a clear photo of your signature, framed closely.
- Select Prepare to create a JPG under 20 KB with a white background.
- Check in the preview that the strokes are clear.
- Download the JPG and upload it to your form.
Resize signature for SSC and other exam or job forms
Many exam and recruitment portals in India ask for a signature image with a small file size, often 20 KB or less. Examples include SSC, IBPS and RRB application forms. This page prepares the signature as a JPG under 20,000 bytes and keeps the whole signature without cropping its edges.
The pixel size is a separate rule. Some third-party guides quote a 140 × 60 pixel box for SSC or IBPS, but that figure is not set by this tool, and rules can change between notifications. Check the notification or form for the required pixel size and the file-size limit.
The same signature image is often used across several forms, so one prepared file can serve more than one upload when the rules match.
Prepare a legible signature
Sign with dark ink on plain white paper, then photograph or scan the signature so it fills most of the frame. Crop tightly, with little paper around the ink. Thin pen strokes can break up under heavy compression, so check the preview at full size before you download.
The tool scales the signature proportionally to fit the 1200×400 canvas and adjusts JPG quality to meet the 20 KB limit. If the strokes look faint, a cleaner photo or scan with more contrast will help more than any further resizing.
Works on a phone and computer
You can photograph your signature with a phone and prepare it on the same device. The image is processed in your browser, never uploaded to a server, and no account or sign-up is needed. The download has no watermark.
This page targets 20 KB and does not offer a 10 KB preset. If your form asks for 50 KB, use the 50 KB signature page instead.
Keep a copy named after the exam or form, so you can find the right signature image for each application.
Frequently asked questions
How do I prepare my signature under 20 KB?
Choose a closely framed signature image and select Prepare. Download the JPG with the 20 KB target already applied.
What pixel size should my signature be for SSC or IBPS?
This tool sets a maximum 1200×400 canvas and a 20 KB file limit, not an exam pixel size. Check the notification or form for the required pixel dimensions.
Will my whole signature stay visible?
Yes. The tool keeps the complete image and its proportions and fits the signature within the canvas without cropping its edges.
What background does the signature use?
The result is a JPG with a white background. Transparent areas become white, so the signature is ready to place on a light form.
Can I get a signature to 10 KB with this tool?
No. This page targets 20 KB and has no 10 KB preset. Check the form's limit, and if it is lower than 20 KB, you may need to adjust the image yourself.
Will thin strokes stay readable?
Usually, if the original is clear. Check the strokes in the preview at full size, since very thin pen lines can look lighter after compression.
Is this signature resizer free, with no sign-up?
Yes. The tool is free, needs no account or sign-up, and the download has no watermark. The image is processed in your browser and is never uploaded to a server.
Can I prepare my signature on a phone?
Yes. You can photograph your signature with your phone and prepare the JPG on the same device. The tool runs in your browser, so it works on a phone or a computer.
